IKEA was opening its first store in Lithuania and needed to give the event the correct meaning. Lithuanians gained independence from the Soviet Union in 1991, but still, more than 20 years later, it was difficult and expensive to find stylish furniture. This meant that the majority of their homes were condemned to remain with the old-school Soviet-style furniture.
This film touches, in a poetic way, the feeling of opening your door to finally find the home that you always deserved, after experiencing so many different phases in your life.
