Periwinkle I would say is my best work up to date. It is the second film I edited from start to finish, and I poured everything I had into it. Having such a close relationship with the director, we worked tirelessly together to bring Periwinkle to life, and I couldn't be more happy with it. I also dove deep into coloring with this film- there was a particular Euphoria-like aesthetic we were going for and I wanted to bring that, almost ethereal, feel to this film. I learned so much in all aspects of editing while working on Periwinkle that I look forward to implementing on the next project I get my hands on.
Working on this project was the most fulfilling experience I've had, as it really showed me how much I've learned and grown- and how much further I can still grow, in this field. So far it has won Best Narrative Short Film at the Long Island Youth Film Festival, and hopefully pending more awards soon to come.
