This project highlights the intersection of bold aesthetics and cultural richness, using striking garments and dynamic lighting to elevate the subject into a representation of modern artistic expression.

The shoot presents a powerful statement about identity and art, weaving together elements of fashion and African contemporary motifs. Inspiration and Styling:
Inspired by African contemporary art, the styling emphasized bold textures, vibrant colors, and statement garments to create a dynamic and engaging aesthetic.
Pulling together a team of stylists the day of the shoot proved challenging, but it resulted in a collaborative and fast-paced energy that contributed to the raw creativity of the final imagery.
The garments included a white coat by designer Imran Ghalip, now in possession of Julia Fox, and other pieces archived at SCAD Fash, blending contemporary and archival designs to add depth to the narrative.
Makeup and Hair:
The makeup and hair underwent three transformations during the three-hour shoot, reflecting the evolution of the visual story. Each iteration brought new energy and allowed the team to experiment with bold, sculptural looks to complement the garments and lighting.
Lighting:
