Developers platform website

The "Developers Platform Website" project aimed to create a user-friendly portal for developers to access APIs and related documentation. The primary challenge was designing an interface that presented complex technical information in a clear and accessible manner.

In my role as the UI/UX Designer, I undertook the following responsibilities:

Empathize: Conducted one-on-one interviews with five in-house developers to gather insights into their experiences and expectations from such a platform. This research highlighted the need for intuitive navigation, a clean interface, theme customization (light and dark modes), code snippets with easy copy functionality, and a robust search feature.

Define: Established the project's objectives, focusing on creating a straightforward repository of code and implementation instructions for various product APIs. I outlined user requirements for both the landing page and post-login experience, ensuring alignment with developer needs.

Ideate: Developed initial sketches and mockups to visualize the platform's layout and design elements. These proposals were presented to the team, including developers, and one design was selected for prototyping.

Prototype: Created a functional prototype using HTML and CSS, closely resembling the final product.

Test: Conducted usability testing with five developers to assess the prototype's effectiveness. The tests confirmed that users could navigate the platform, log in, and understand its structure without issues.

Launch: Oversaw the platform's launch, noting that some elements from the prototype, such as key area descriptions and the "LEARN MORE" call-to-action, were omitted due to content constraints. Post-launch, I initiated heatmap analyses to evaluate user interaction with these key areas, leading to further refinements based on user behavior data.

This collaborative effort resulted in a developer-centric platform that effectively balances functionality with user experience, facilitating seamless access to APIs and supporting resources.
