Childish Gambino - "Redbone"

Although uncredited, this masterpiece was born from a studio visit by Donald Glover. He had the kick drum loop and sang the lyrics to the song. I came up with the bass line, and chord progression, as well as several song references to use to complete the track (Al Green - Love and Happiness, Bootsy Collins - I'd Rather be with You, Jaco Pastorius - Portrait of Tracy). The song was taken and finished by Ludwig Göransson. Before they left the studio, I told Donald "This will be your first grammy".
