SOLO MOTO CO. Branding

SOLO MOTO CO. is a brand I developed for a client who wanted to create a motorcycle brand inspired by the café racer aesthetic, but with a distinct southwestern twist. The brief was to "make a café racer brand, but for the desert, not Italian." My goal was to capture the warmth and character of the Southwest without adhering strictly to the traditional café racer style.

To achieve this, I began by selecting fonts and design elements that conveyed a southwestern feel while avoiding overt associations with classic moto cafés. As I refined the design, I incorporated symbols like a skull, coyote, banners, and a checkered pattern—each representing the desert landscape while subtly referencing the café racer culture. I also opted for a simple, versatile color palette to ensure the brand could adapt seamlessly to any future business ventures.

Throughout the process, I balanced the client’s vision with creative exploration, ultimately delivering a brand identity that resonates with both the ruggedness of the Southwest and the spirit of café racing.
