Goodyear 400: Throwback Posters & Mini Campaign

For the first time, GOODYEAR was sponsoring the very beloved NASCAR "Throwback Race" at the famed Darlington track where each year drivers throw it back and race vintage cars. We kept the theme going and threw-back event signage, promo video and digital we were tasked with creating.

First, we designed posters that were throwbacks to GOODYEAR ads from the 40s, 50s, 60s & 70s. Initially presented to live online, they were liked so much we printed limited run and they became "throwback keepsakes" in their Goodyear 400 Sweepstakes.

Our 1940's look also became the base of event signage, welcoming 47,000 excited fans to the famous Darlington track on race day.

We pulled the look through digital, created a TikTok lens that let you wear swag and fly the blimp over your head and finally cut a hype video (using existing client footage) that kicked off the race online and in person.

And we had to be speedy too. The project had a quick turnaround with a low (almost nonexistent) budget but we were able to make it feel much bigger in record time.
