Adult Themes

Leon Michels is a multi-talented musician, producer and songwriter and in 2020, was planning the release of his new album, Adult Themes, under his moniker, El Michels Affair. Inspired by the film scores of the 1960s and classical jazz, Michels posed this album as an imaginary soundtrack to an imaginary film.

The moody soundscapes provoked a cinematic visual world dense with hand-made collages and warm, fiery tones. A special edition, die-cut vinyl cheekily provides the listener a “peep hole” to the seductive female forms featured on the cover.
