KAMALA HARRIS FOR PRESIDENT
When Kamala announced her bid for the 2024 presidential nomination I felt like I woke up from some deep unexpected slumber. The kind when you realize you’ve made it through some sh*t, you’re alive, awake, and blinking like a newborn. Feels like a new day.

I didn’t quite feel like a brat (yet) but I sure as hell was inspired by the momentum and approach. Especially the hash-symbols that visually lead tags of communities popping up for Kamala. It just so happens that it looks like an ‘H’ for Harris, and that ‘H’ needs to trend fast.

HASH ROOTS CAMPAIGN

The hash encourages open collaboration and sharing ideas. The # is a symbol of engagement. A symbol of context. A symbol of visibility. “The hashtag is a superstructure that spans across all media platforms.”

This visual campaign uses the form of an italicized Hashtag made of various materials that aim to represent what the American voters uniquely care about most. From reproductive rights to 90’s barrettes, we have an opportunity to communicate in idiosyncratic ways.
