PINK FLOYD - THE GREAT GIG IN THE SKY

Entry for TDSOTM50 anniversary Competition.

As the track suggests, it's a story about death, connected to the great mistery lying around it and how this word intertwines both the concepts of loss and exploration.

The simple yet inscrutable metaphor of death can be declined on several levels of abstraction, in this case telling the story of a genius losing his grip on reality, being somehow able to peek beyond the veil that covers our perceptions.

An astral space where past, present and future become one is the stage for him to understand the truth, through the incredible catarsis of a great gig in the sky.
