The Indie Games Festival and Indie Games Accelerator program are Google’s annual celebration of all things Indie. The Festival is an opportunity to win promotions and be featured on Google Play while the Accelerator mentorship program aims to help mobile game startups achieve their full potential. This year the Festival was held virtually across Europe, Japan and South Korea.
This project had it all and then some. A quirky character called Blobby, a live-streamed Festival event (thanks Covid) including a digital world to explore, oodles of promotional social content, internal and external animated comms, tons of swag, printed bits and lots, lots more.
There was so much content and YLLW Studio used a host of talent from our roster to produce the work. From 3x40’ launch films, 128 social promos and over 570 templated social adaptations, internal Google launch comms and artwork, films to be used during the live streamed Festival including; an opening film, trailers, Top 10 and Winner features. Plus we were excited to help produce a series of merchandise to promote and celebrate the festival including promo art, stickers and posters. We also wrapped up the project by producing a case study for Google to celebrate the success of the live event.
With all of this content YLLW Studio was able to cast and skill up during the project, giving our client access to the right talent, at the right time, ensuring everything was delivered cost effectively and to schedule.
We also worked with South Korea and Japan creating animations and templates for use in their markets and live stream events too.
