In keeping with Geoffrey’s playfulness and eccentric flavors, I utilized a bright, neo-90’s maximalist approach. The custom hand-lettered logotype takes advantage of a closed yet dynamic gestalt that bounces the eye with a fresh, modern look. Meanwhile, the color palette is reminiscent of classic toys that all generations can relate to—a nod to consumers’ nostalgia of simpler times. To balance the bright colors, subtle pattern overlays elevate the look of the packaging with understated texture.

When designing the website interface, I worked to balance bold brand visuals with user-friendly functionality. The hierarchy is maintained by contrasting striking, chunky headers with a modern geometric serif for body copy. The boldness of Roc Grotesk complemented with the tall x-height of Maison Neue ensures readability across a variety of type sizes, ideal for customers of all ages. Color once again comes into play in reinforcing hierarchal structure by creating layers of emphasis across type, interactive features, and patterns. These distinct visuals of Geoffrey’s are counterbalanced with deliberate pastels, gradients, and softer UI features. The rounded buttons and navigation elements combined with increased white space allow room for the eye to breath—a key feature in minimizing visual overwhelm.
