As a personal transition away from producing broadcast and social content films I joined Facebook in 2018 with the opportunity to create visual assets for the company's largest event.
Assets included a website build, email and web materials to announce, invite, and update attendees, visual elements for all digital and on-site brand integration moments including logo design, motion graphics, interactives, installations, swag, and an opening film to kick off the event. The F8 teams were also integral to the design and refresh of the company's brand identity that was happening in parallel.
This project might be my all time favorite. It was difficult, full of hurdles and long nights but also included some of the smartest and kindest people I've ever worked with. There were what felt like endless amounts of teams involved (internal and external) to bring everything to life over a 10-month period. The best part of the project was the diversity in deliverables - from assets I was familiar with creating (films and apparel) to items I had not closely managed previously (websites, event spaces).
