Union Bugs
My senior capstone project “Union Bugs” which looks at the history of graphic design through the lens of leftists labor politics.
"The evolution of graphic design as we know it today was not forged from behind a desk. Many of the early designers were blue collar union laborers. By studying the design of union bugs, we can honor the contributions of metalsmiths, typographers, and printers to the enduring legacy of graphic design."
This project was awarded the 2023 Senior Capstone Citation of Excellence by the University of the Arts.
