ARCADE: Exception Booklet Insert

As ARCADE moves through its 40th year hosting an inclusive dialogue on designed environments through print publications, they wanted to highlight gaps in design establishments by bending, breaking, and challenging rules and narratives about who and what design is and can be for.
ARCADE invited Seattle Design Nerds, a not for profit group of designers doing public art, experimentation, & creative skill building, to help conceptualize, design, and implement an internal spread in a new and engaging way alongside Sean Walcott and ARCADE editors for Issue 40.1: Exception.
The exercises in the pamphlet do not require a prerequisite knowledge of design or any specific technical ability with hope that they are accessible to all ages and may also provide professional designers with an opportunity to warm up on a daily basis or stretch long dormant skills.
