Hästens Full Circle

FULL CIRCLE was a five-day long immersive experience, where art, dining, and restorative healing met in a mirage-like setting.

In this creative project produced by Hästens Beds, the curation of works by local Los Angeles-based artists have added their vision to this ethereal
retreat. Artists in the on-site installation include Camilla Engström, Elena Stonaker, Sophie Wahlquist, Jean Nagai, Lilah Rose among others.

A culinary experience executed by local Los-Angeles chefs included
farm-to-table dining, bringing the freshness of California’s fields, orchards, and artisanal foods directly to the table.

took place in the Sun Lounge after the house tour lead by the owners
and designer John Vugrin.

Hästens invites you to this once-in-a-lifetime experience in celebrating the creative power of our wildest dreams at FULL CIRCLE, realized at The Doolittle House. The Doolittle House is Kendrick Bangs Kellogg and John Vugrin’s ultimate masterpiece. Located in Joshua Tree, the house was designed in the 1980s by organic architect Kendrick Bangs Kellogg for
artist Bev Doolittle and her husband, Jay. With interior designer John Vugrin working in conjunction on almost every single detail, it took nearly 20 years to complete. The new owners of the house want to share its wonder with the world, so we made sure to put the Hästen's iconic Blue Check mark on the Doolittle House.

Interior designer John Vugrin worked closely with Kellogg to create a series of custom-made objects fashioned from wood, metal, and marble in the house, including this spiny dining table. He also designed the base for the circular Hästens mattress as he is continuing to build out the house
together with the new owners.
