Close But No Cigar (AI-Powered Art Collection)

I've been creating AI-powered post-photography collections using Midjourney and selling them as NFTs on Foundation.

My new series, CLOSE BUT NO CIGAR, is based around a collection of portraits of celebrity lookalikes I took during an imaginary summer in Los Angeles in 1989. I'm fascinated by the way AI is blurring the lines between truth and fiction, and felt that lookalikes were a perfect subject to explore such a theme.

To draw attention to the project, I created this trailer using a few of the portraits.

And I hosted a couple of Twitter Spaces featuring some of the lookalikes, who shared their magical journeys.
