As the UX Designer for the IMHTP capstone project, I spearheaded the creation of a central portal catering to the needs of the marginalized African diasporic community in the technology sector. This Black-centric tech portal, named IMHTP (short for "Information, Mentorship, Hiring, Training, and Placement"), aimed to provide a comprehensive platform for African diasporic individuals to access information on tech opportunities, educational resources, and community engagement. With a focus on education, career placement, and virtual event community building, IMHTP served as a vital resource for black digital creatives seeking job opportunities, hiring positions, educational pathways, and connections within the technology community. Through a skillful blend of UX design and visual marketing, the portal fostered inclusivity, empowerment, and community building for African diasporic technologists.
