The website I created on WordPress for Imagine Just, a non-profit organization, embodies my work as a passionate advocate for social change through graphic design support, UX research, and UX design. Focused on addressing the funding disparities in inner-city communities and supporting marginalized artists in the public sector of Southside Chicago, the website serves as a platform to raise awareness about the challenges faced by ALAANA communities (African American, Latin American, Native American) lacking government art funding, resulting in neglect and underrepresentation. Through meticulous UX research, I gathered insights into the specific needs and experiences of these communities, informing the design choices that prioritize accessibility, inclusivity, and community empowerment. The website showcases compelling visuals, intuitive navigation, and engaging storytelling, creating an immersive user experience that fosters connection, drives support, and inspires positive change in the Southside Chicago art scene.
