Rageful yet Lonely

The design for this book is inspired by the ambivalence, rageful yet lonely. More specifically the feminine rage and loneliness one feels and the deep emotions that fuel one another. It was important that the two typefaces that were chosen are able to coexist and speak to the ambivalence and that one is able to feel the ambivalence within every nuance of this book. I also chose a metallic/mirror-like cover which was critical for the audience to be able to look at their reflection as if they are looking at the loneliness and rage that lies within oneself. My main goal for this project was to capture these two deep emotions while still producing a print production book. This challenged me to design beyond aesthetics but design based on evoking an emotion.
