Out of Tune

This was a final project in my Drawing for animation class sophomore year (Fall 2022 semester.)
I developed a New York original character with a sidekick, named Eve and her pet bat Ink.
Eve is an alternative teenager with goals to make it into the punk/rock music industry. Unfortunately, she’s absolutely tone-deaf. While everyone can’t listen to her sing, Ink, a bat who loves high pitched tones, is the only one who is by her side. Together, they venture through trials and tribulations of being a teenager in the punk-rock scene in New York.
This illustration is my final project from the semester, depicting a place Eve loves being at. The tattoo shop is a scene where punk teenagers and adults visit for new tattoos and piercings, while equally socializing. Here, she is doing her own stick and poke, and ink watches her create a new do-it-yourself tattoo for herself.
