People often mistake bullet journaling with the need to be artistic. But beyond the vibrantly colorful spreads and near-perfect brush calligraphy you see online is something more than a notebook. The Bullet Journal Method is a productivity system made for intentional living.
After a month of working as a social media intern, I eventually took charge as the all-in-one social media manager, graphic designer, and art director. I was responsible for refreshing BuJo’s brand identity to better communicate their brand values and brand purpose as a productivity system to both new and seasoned bullet journalists across all their social platforms, with a heavy focus on Instagram, Youtube, and their very own community platform, BuJo U.
The social media rebrand was executed by redesigning their brand system to reflect the BuJo method’s emphasis on education and timelessness; sourcing and curating a variety of UGC content that demonstrated the versatility and adaptability of the bullet journal as a tool, and introducing new formats of social media content to keep the community engaged and continuously learning about the BuJo method and, in the process, themselves.
