Problem: Refreshing the Zillow brand to underscore a new business model and company mission “giving people the power to unlock life’s next chapter,” buying and selling homes directly on the Zillow platform.
Solution: Design brand guidelines to act as the central building blocks for tone of voice, color, typographic styling and a new visual system for photos/icons/illustration.
My role: As senior designer, I helped shape the look and feel of the new brand across all mediums. Most prominently in the logo usage, typography, color and user testing to see how our audience might react to the bold new changes.
Unfortunately, the work was put to a halt when Zillow made a large pivot, shutting down the new business model. But the team put in a monumental effort to rebrand a household name and it shows in the work we produced.
