Plenty of Fish came to Fantasy looking for the generation of dating apps. As of late, users have become frustrated with the transient nature and high-pressure environments that “swiping” apps have created. Meanwhile, Plenty Of Fish has struggled to move on from its past and catch up with its competitors. As a result, we took a look at how to create a low-pressure online dating environment where users can connect with like-minded singles. We looked at a feature set that could assist with more interaction between users as well as a visual style that suited the notion of being next level, high in spirit, and friendly. For the visual direction, we focused on an aesthetic that was still lively and youthful and mimicked the atmosphere of being at a party with different rooms with different conversations.
