Normally I wouldn't post these, as they were just workaday spots for a gentle piece in the Washington Post (thank you, Lizzie Hart) last winter on what readers were fantasizing about doing once the pandemic was over. Today I saw them in my files and couldn't help but feel how an article celebrating optimism while encouraging hope within reason now seems grossly optimistic. I'd like to say honestly that an innate sense of uncertainty and short time was the reason I didn't put any information on the receipt. But who knows? Maybe I'll draw an itemized list tomorrow. #illustration
