Verizon asked us to create some exclusive content at Celebration 2015, to be streamed live on FiOS and Go90. And since they gave us access to a fully workable replica of the famous Chalmun's Cantina set AND we had a burning desire to taste some of that weird-ass food from the Star Wars pantheon, we decided to make a cooking show (two birds, etc.)
Hosted by celebrity chef and self-proclaimed Star Wars dork Duff Goldman, Cantina Cuisine was your typical cooking show with a Star Wars twist. Duff showed fans how to create a bevy of dishes, from Jabba's Frog Legs to Yoda's Rootleaf Stew to Fresh Bantha Milk. Then we invited fans to come onstage and try them out, getting their hilarious reactions on film.
The show was fantastically successful, with over 25,000 streams and a completion rate of 92%. Plus now I know what Rootleaf Stew tastes like, once and for all. I'm not sure I'd reco it, but I'm not here to tell you how to live.
