Vans - Portraits of Her

This project shines a light on the women working in the music industry. From the ones on stage, to those running record stores and working behind the scenes — we’re uplifting their stories and experiences, honoring their truths, and celebrating their strength and passion in continuing to pave the path forward for others. We created a series bringing two women from completely different fields together, to meet for the first time and share their stories. We put the camera in their hands and pieced together their self-captured one-on-one moments discussing their inspirations, hardships, accomplishments and hopes for the future of music. For the big day, we released a custom print zine designed by Jordi Ng, and a vinyl record honoring women in the music industry— made by women for women. All sales made were donated to We Are Moving The Needle.
