To enhance customer interactions with Daily Harvest, I created new product features focusing on user acquisition, add-on cart experiences, and a brand consistent editorial content hub. Subscription sampling: Customers want to try new food items but don’t want to use up a spot in their box or pay for something they might not like. They also want to be able to select a SKU based on personal preferences, recommendations, and dietary restrictions, not receive at random. We believe that by enabling customers to specifically choose their own free sample we will see increased customer consumption and trial rates. Our primary goals are to increase revenue per customer (in campaign) and to increase SKU trial rates per customer. The design solution was to create multiple points of messaging to notify the customer about the free sample offer window, a new feature in checkout displaying different sample SKUS that fit the user profile, changes to the user’s receipt to mark Free items, and working with our Data, Care, Marketing, Accounting, and Ops team to ship this product launch successfully.
