Rubicon Organics is a Canadian licensed producer of super-premium, organic certified, sustainably grown cannabis.
I had the opportunity to work closely with Rubicon Organics Head of Sustainability, to design and publish their first Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report. Not having many previous design materials to reference, I echoed the colours and typographic styles on the website, while giving the layout and graphic styles my own creative spin.
The 20-page report was published both online and in print, hence the design had to work well across both formats. Each page includes a folio on the top of the page, featuring the page number, brand name, report name and date, as well as the table of contents. As you flip through the pages, the TOC item is highlighted accordingly. In the digital version, the TOC is dynamic, allowing the reader to quickly flip through sections. The client had some great on-brand photography at the ready, which was paired with custom graphics, icons, maps and charts. Key information is generally highlighted on a coloured background, seamlessly fitting into the page layouts. Additionally, a secondary mini report was created, to easily share online with "at a glance" information.
