What Are You Afraid Of?

I asked some people in my life to answer two questions: what scared you as a child, and what scares you now as an adult? This experimental animated short was made during the COVID-19 pandemic, so each of my interviewees recorded their testimonies on their cell phones from various places around the country and sent them to me via email. The visuals were developed around the audio piece that I assembled from these recordings.

This piece was made in Fall 2020 using the Procreate app and Adobe Premiere Pro. It utilizes techniques of digital painting, cel animation, 2D computer animation, and rotoscoping.
