North Brooklyn Mutual Aid asked me to design a T-shirt for a fundraiser. They didn't have a direction or ideas and this would be the first T-shirt they were making. This was in the midst of the pandemic and BLM protests going on nationwide. This felt like a big undertaking to both do justice to their organization as well as the feelings of pain, frustration, and also overall hope in the community. I presented a few concepts and we landed on this design that I thought would be eye-catching, bold, convey a message while also being broadly appealing since the goal was ultimately to sell them to raise funds for the organization.
Ultimately the shirt didn't end up getting produced but I'm very happy with how it came together.
