Stay Home of The Whopper

The ask from Burger King was to launch Delivery on their app. In the Winter of 2019, we shot and produced an entirely different campaign - set to launch in Spring 2020. Then the pandemic hit. And the new, pandemic-definition of "hero" became clear. Our healthcare community faced the pandemic courageously, and selflessly. Rising to the occasion - amidst the very scary early days of the pandemic. So, we saw an opportunity to pivot the creative, and amplify the calls from the healthcare community to "please stay home". Burger King arranged a donation of 250,000 Whoppers to healthcare workers - and we re-cut, re-finished, and launched in 10 days. When a pandemic hits, the most heroic thing you can do is to do nothing.
