The Spiral is a project most close to my heart. I first began my relationship with the Spiral—or TSP, as it was introduced to me—when I was the Communications Coordinator at Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG), the building's design architect. The building's concept had just been introduced when I began working for the firm, and the first few months of my tenure consisted of writing interview responses, answering media inquiries, and creating web content for the project.
When I joined Binyan as a Project Manager years later, I was handed one of the firm's largest accounts: Tishman Speyer's the Spiral. My familiarity with the building was only an added bonus in working with the client and the various design teams we communicated with on the regular in developing a large package of 3D visualizations, all meant for various web-based and print purposes. The project evolved immensely over the course of the account, beginning with a set amount of deliverables and ending with a totally different one, mainly due to the incredible quality of imagery delivered by my team. Finally seeing the launch of the Spiral's website months after the initial imagery was disseminated to potential clients was thrilling; 6 years in the making, it feels like coming full circle will only be accomplished by someday working in an office located in the building. Which, of course, I am totally game for.
