California Libraries Learn Visual Identity

The California State Library along with the California Library Association applied for a grant to enhance and enrich the career advancement of library staff of all levels throughout the state. Presented in an online format through the program website with interactive workshops and individual-pace webinars, the program has been a great success and is heading into its second year. I was approached by the two groups to build a visual identity for the program that would be reflective of California as a whole along with being quite versatile for use by multiple groups on various levels of interest and skill. Elements of the program included branding elements for social media, e-mail newsletter templates, brand guidelines, and website design.
