SOUND JOURNEYS: Commissioned by Ford and B&O Play, the project was an experiment into how sound shapes the way we understand the world. Visitors journeyed through 3 distinct yet aurally overlapping areas: The Forest, The Canyons and The Sea. In each zone they could interact with sound in different ways.
I was tasked with creating a spatial audio system and audio reactive lighting for the project. I built an OpenFrameworks addon for calculating distance based amplitude panning of arbitrarily placed speakers with moving sounds. I also built a mixer system in Max/MSP which also controlled the lighting.
