Marie Kondo x Rakuten

The assignment was to create a large exhibit that visitors could interact with and learn more about Marie's tidying methods and approach to a mindful life. In Japanese, Rakuten stands for ‘optimism.’ It means we believe in the future. It’s an understanding that, with the right mind-set, we can make the future better by what we do today—to evolve, innovate and experiment, to create a better, brighter future for everyone. The booth was meant to conceptually represent the KonMari method—via the space itself or demonstrations. As a main attraction at this event, the goal was to break away from the hectic space and offer a place that sparks joy. In doing so, I created multiple concepts that would allow for an intimate, considered and beautiful encounter for others to experience.
