Lightspeed, which makes Active Noise Reduction headsets for aircraft pilots, developed a new premium headset, with which they hoped to take on the market-leading Bose X. I created the product name (based on the pilot's alphabet: Alpha, Foxtrot, Charlie . . .) and wrote the marketing materials for the launch as well as subsequent campaigns. It really was a team effort with ad agency and client working well together. Within two years Zulu was outselling Bose and had higher pilot ratings.
