CPJ

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) is an independent, nonprofi organization that promotes press freedom worldwide. They are the front line defense for the rights of journalists throughout the world to report the news without fear of reprisal.

They were faced with degrading technology, disconnected content, and a critical system collapse. We lead every aspect of the project from research through development to give them the full and complete ownership of their data. This empowered their organization to quite literally save lives.

In the process, we built several open-source tools that are used throughout the world to stop information suppression.
