DoorDash Redesign

This project was for a UX Design Bootcamp with QTBIPOC Design. My colleague and I chose to conduct evaluative research on the DoorDash app to learn user pain points and to find ways to improve the user experience. We learned from conducting user interviews that several users found it challenging to find food options that matched their needs. After conducting further secondary research, we found that 36 million Americans have food allergies, and 1 of 3 Americans (36%) have dietary restrictions based on food practices. With our journey mapping, we decided this was an important pain point for users that we would like to focus on finding a solution for. We chose to redesign the DoorDash app to include features for users to easily navigate and search for food options based on their needs. We collaborated closely with our educational team who offered us insightful feedback through several design iterations. We were able to validate our prototype through usability testing. We received positive feedback from users that this app feature would greatly improve their experience with the DoorDash app.
