Brand Identity Design for Joel Blom, Story Advisor
Joel Blom will, in his own words: "help you to communicate your own unique purpose by telling it in a Story format. People don’t care what you do, they care why you do it. There is no more powerful way to communicate why you do something than to use a Story, well told."
The logomark is a fusion of a pilcrow and the letter "J". The Color and layout of the logo are a nod to Joel's home country, Switzerland.
The pilcrow (¶), also called the paragraph mark, paragraph sign, alinea (Latin: a linea, "off the line"), or blind P, is the typographical character for individual paragraphs.
The pilcrow can be used as an indent to separate paragraphs or to designate a new paragraph in one long piece of copy. It was a type of rubrication used in the Middle Ages to mark a new train of thought before the convention of visually discrete paragraphs became commonplace.
In Joel's identity, the pilcrow represents new beginnings. The beginning of a new story.
