Rethinking naps for The Dreamery

Art direction and environmental design for The Dreamery, a spot to rest up and recharge. Situated in NYC’s NoHo neighborhood, guests are invited to schedule a nap appointment in private sleep pods. Joyful sleepiness + relaxation (the overarching theme of the space), helped inform the branding. Inspired by dreams and nighttime landscapes, a simple color palette of blue and white was used to ground the space. Joey worked with Jonathan Calugi on the visual direction for the interior mural, ensuring the graphic told a zingy sleep story and tied back to the overarching sleep message for the space. Leveraging his simple illustration style, a cohesive visual language of continuous line art directed guests throughout their nap journey. // Director: Pete Trentacoste / Environments Designer: Katie Li / Illustrator: Jonathan Calugi
