Winterfest Identity

For the annual Winterfest hosted by the Austrian Students’ Union ÖH (Österreichische Hochschülerinnen- und Hochschülerschaft) I was commissioned to create a new identity that brings a brings a fresh vibe to an event that has been around for years. The idea was to create a collection of striking visuals that do not fade into the bland background of typical winter-related events. The series of posters had to stand out in a bold and sensational way to raise the attention of a younger audience. The poster communicates the line-up of the concert, paired with additional details and the main graphical element, the snowflake. The posters got printed as a series of three, featuring three different snowflake shapes. In addition to the posters, the identity got carried through and was applied to the event tickets as well. Typefaces in use: Le Murmure (Jérémy Landes & Velvetyne Type Foundry), Druk Wide (Commercial Type), Eurostile (Nebiolo)
