Sezza Brand Identity

Opportunity: Rebrand LaCroix Sparkling Water with a full brand standards manual to create a personal, enjoyable experience for young adults that is fun, vibrant, and approachable. Solution: Two of the most memorable aspects of the drink, high carbonation and healthiness, were the focus of the rebrand. This is seen in the new brand name, 'Sezza', which is a derivative of the Italian word 'senza', a translation of the word 'without.' This is a reference to the drink's lack of sodium, calories, and sweeteners. Each of the elongated letterforms in the wordmark represent the upward rise of carbonation. The letterforms have softened edges for approachability and rounded apexes to mimic the shape of bubbles. The stacked ‘Zs’ in the wordmark emphasize the sound of fizz and also shorten the width of the logo on the cans. The full custom typeface can be viewed in the brand standards manual.
