Retro "v" Suit

Remastering an Icon. Tasked with retro-ing the iconic Jordan 5 suit, I started with the original; an OG found in the Nike DNA achives. The first thing I noticed was the hand feel of the nylon taffeta. After years of wear and laundering it had developed a new surface texture. As I spec’d out each detail trying to get the proportions and construction to be 1-to-1 with the original, I kept feeling like something was missing. Then I remembered the fabric itself. Why don’t we develop a nylon taffeta that feels like it has been washed a thousand times? Making it feel like you found it at the thrift store with the tags still on it. In this case feeling is believing.
