Covid-19. Typos Series
Covid times, for many creatives (especially freelancers), has been an opportunity to take a break and look back at our work, sometime taking the time to re-organize files and back-ups we never have time to tide during crunch times.
While digging on my hard drives, I accidentally run into an old Illustrator file, dated April 27, 2005. There I found these early sketches of illustrations drew using a typeface: Monotype Corsiva.
During the 2020 downtimes, I took over from where I left and turned them into small portraits, designed using the same Monotype Corsiva I was playing in 2005. The subjects of these portraits weren't created following briefs or specific ideas. It was just letting the type inspire the creativity and accepting the beauty and simplicity of the process. Once a year, just for the pleasure of playing.
