The Problem Onboarding has been a complex problem especially in the banking and fintech domain. Deloitte study reveals that 38% of customers feel UX is the most important criterion when choosing a digital financial service. Additionally, 26% say that easy enrollment and login is the most important factor. The Solution We partnered with Sharekhan to create an unique onboarding experience that assists the users in account opening at every step, making it a breeze for them to open a single account for all investment tools. The effort was largely to minimize the effort at users end and guide them through the process. Strategy We toyed with a bunch of UX approaches to onboarding. In our research we found that the most cumbersome aspect of onboarding is the inability to toggle between the steps thereby not giving them visibility of the entire process involved in ac opening. Our challenge was to create an interface wherein all the stages of the ac opening are visible at once letting the users jump from one stage to another effortlessly.
