We created an “unsanctioned” Rivalry Run in celebration of Ohio State playing against Michigan. The course weaved through OSU’s sprawling Columbus campus. We designed the course and outfitted it with a mix of organic and deftly designed elements. The race began at 9:34pm, and at the starting line, runners were greeted by the iconic Brutus Buckeye, OSU cheerleaders as well as the famed Ohio State University band. The route featured a number of custom light installations including projection highlights of previous games, a neon Brutus, mile markers and wayfinding. At the finish line, runners were celebrated by cheering crowds, flag-bearers and custom Nike swag. They also had the opportunity to trial Nike’s latest Air Zoom Pegasus Shield 36 running shoe.
