Bet you didn't know this, but Pimco ceo Mohamed El-Erian coined the term 'new normal.' We're all still kicking ourselves that we didn't have it trademarked. 'New normal' was conceived as a macroeconomic construct to describe a financial world recovering from a 'trilemma' of headwinds created by the 2008 subprime mortgage crisis. After 2010, 'new normal' began popping up everywhere to describe anything with a transformed homeostasis.
For this, I wrote, produced and directed a spot that introduced clients and institutional investors to key concepts supporting a later variant of that macroeconomic thesis, while showcasing the brand-new, state-of-the-art Pimco conference center at Newport Beach company headquarters.
The ability to work creatively with this kind of content makes working with a lot of other material seem easy by comparison.
