Vente was a mock company whose goal was to create a mobile app that recommended local events and activities to its audience. Similar to Eventbrite or Thrillist, Vente aimed to deliver a curated, personal experience to the user that was easy to pick up and engage with. Vente’s target audience of active, young professionals with a high degree of technical proficiency was primed for a new app that could cater to their needs and wants. However, due to their proficiency with similar apps and websites, Vente would need to differentiate itself significantly and find ways to quickly engage and retain users.
Throughout the 8-week project, I took this simple brief and created a mock mobile application that demonstrated how Vente would operate. From research, moodboards, and style tiles I created a brand new logo and style aesthetic. With minimal wireframes, I expanded upon the capabilities of the app’s design and implemented a cohesive aesthetic that would resonate with the target audience, gaining high marks in user interviews and testings.
