Delta GRAMMYs

As the GRAMMYs headed back to NYC after a 15 year break, we celebrated with a weekend-long experience that wove in the cultural and musical fabric of New York with Delta’s commitment to connecting people. The “Return to New York” theme was applied to every guest interaction and event throughout the weekend, further establishing Delta as an official partner of the GRAMMYs and as New York’s #1 airline. Hospitality / Ritz Carlton From the moment guests checked into the Ritz Carlton, they were greeted at every turn by thoughtful Delta touches that elevated their experience. This year, the Hospitality Suite became a destination, with specialized gifting, light food and beverage and a full time manager on-call to answer questions and book transport in real time. Group transport was also on constant rotation, with shuttle buses and/or individual cars scheduled to drop off and pick up guests from each event. Nightly room drops associated with each event were also a feature of the weekend. Each gift was tied to the theme of the event that the guest had just attended. Delta's Celebration of Music's Biggest Night / Bowery Hotel As the Official Airline Partner of the GRAMMY Awards and Supporter of First-Time Nominees, Delta kicked off the weekend’s celebrations with a high energy party at The Bowery Hotel, featuring a performance by Julia Michaels, one of this year’s hottest talents. As a nod to Delta’s support of the music industry, in addition to Julia Michaels’ performance, the event was opened and closed by carefully selected DJ talent. The party was kicked off by MSG resident DJ Tiff McFierce, and was continued well into the night with renowned New York DJ and radio host, DJ Funk Flex. In addition to Delta’s musical guests, the event was attended by other celebrity guests who walked the red carpet, including Katie Holmes, Rita Ora and Nick Cannon. Behind the Scenes / MSG + Andaz 5th Avenue The Behind-the-Scenes event gave Delta’s key VIP guests and top tier SkyMiles Medallion Members a look into the inner workings of the GRAMMY Award show production. Guests were treated to cocktails and hor d’oeuvres in MSG’s Suite 200 prior to being escorted to the GRAMMYs Red Carpet and into the Madison Square Garden Bowl to see the inner workings of the GRAMMYs in New York. Once the tour concluded, guests were escorted to the Andaz for a dinner hosted by Jon & Vinny that highlighted some of their favorite in-flight menu options. Pre-GRAMMY Reception / SECOND at the Eventi Hotel Prior to the GRAMMY Awards show, Delta hosted their guests at SECOND at the Eventi Hotel. Upon arrival, guests received a glass of champagne as they made their way to the red carpet where they had their photograph taken. While in the event space, guests were able to see the Delta GRAMMYs ad displayed on the large outdoor screen, have a bite to eat and sip on speciality cocktails at the bar. Post reception, shuttles escorted guests to the Awards Show. Saving the best room drop until last, guests received a custom cut record inside a record sleeve with their photo from the cocktail reception red carpet on the inside.
